J&ME

Jeanine and Mark Elster perform as J&ME — one voice, one guitar, and a knack for finding the soul in songs you forgot you remembered. Warm,intimate, and entirely from memory.

The repertoire runs to Joni Mitchell, Eva Cassidy, Shawn Colvin, Rickie Lee Jones, Bonnie Raitt, Steely Dan, Elton John, and Billy Joel — folk, soul, jazz-inflected pop, and classic rock rearranged for two people and a quiet room. Enough material for a three-hour night without repeating a song.

J&ME plays wine tasting rooms, restaurants, galleries, and private events across the Tri-Valley. Sets run one to three hours.

Setup is two people — no drums, no music stands, no stage plot. We can run through house sound or bring our own compact PA, whichever suits the room.
